Restorative yoga is a practice of deep gentle stretches supported by props such as blankets and bolsters to allow you to completely rest, relax and surrender.
We don't always have to work hard to benefit our body. An active lifestyle is fabulous, but long, deep, supported poses help your body to fully engage, soften and allow the precise positioning to work it's magic.
During this 90 minutes of bliss, it's not only your body receiving nourishment, your teacher will guide you through breathing and mindful exercises to enable you to let go of stress and release completely into your space.
To complete your practice, you will lay in stillness as your teacher guides you through a meditation known as Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep, which is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage of your slumber.

If you have your own mat and bolster please bring - studio mats & bolsters available for use. Please wear socks, comfy warm clothes and bring a blanket. Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to class, and no later than 5 minutes prior to class. If you do need a mat - we do have a small number available to borrow.
